Install went great, covered them with heavy paper to protect during construction. When uncovered to have buffed and final coat of vanish put on the floors were wavey, buckeling. The humidity in the floor is 8 % so we can’t figure out why this is happening. We have installed 3 dehumidifyers to take some of the humidity out of the home, but its been so cold out 30 and below so its hard to believe that there is a humidity problem. 8% is within range for this floor. Why did they buckle? I thought the floors we suppose to sit 10 days in there new inviroment before install, my installer only let sit 3 days. Was that enough?

How do you clean epe floors on an outside deck? Thanks for your answer.

Now the process of finishing the treads! I have read several articles suggesting to use a water base finish. Most of the products that are mentioned are not available at my local hardware store in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. One finish that is available is Flecto Varathane Diamond Wood Finish. This is a Water based finish, would you recommend this?. The articles I have read also mentioned using sealer, Would it be appropriate to just use several coats of Varathane? Any information is appreciated.
