We have Brazilian teak on all of our floors. They were installed about 4 years ago. Within the last 6 months a white residue has started seeping out from between the boards. What can we do to remove this and what could be the cause?

hello
my question is about fasteners.i intend to attach teak wood t&g siding with a nail gun.
will a galvanized nail discolor the wood around the nail due to reaction with the oils in the wood?
i have been warned about this with redwood and am concerned about the teak and weather i should use stainless nails.
thanks for any help
