I took off the carpet in the living room and notice that there is a long thing line crack in one area, when I placed te lvel it is off, there is also a small area that is not level. I’m fairly handy, but have never level a concrete floor. I’m looking towards laminate but would settle for vinyl.

I have linoleoum in the kitchen, we have live in the house 25 years, what is the likelyhood of having asbestos, how do you test it and if I do have it, how do I revoved it. When we fisrt moved into the house, there were vinyl tiles in several rooms, we just pulled them off, we did’nt know about asbestos danger them.. if they had asbestos waht would be the danger to us and our children that were raised in the house?

Thanks for a great website and articles.

But how about these high quality ones? Did they improve on getting rid of VOC? Thanks?

2. With a floating floor, is it possible to have some uneven surfaces which could cause it to come up, or buckle?

The great thing about luxury vinyl tile is that it is designed to overlap, and be seamless. This means that it is very suitable for a bathroom installation on a practical level. But, it’s also a pretty stylish choice too, that goes beyond simple functionality.

Thanks for comments, and good luck with your installation. 🙂
